Raj Sharma - the Founder of Brahma

I trained as a Chartered Accountant in the 1990s with KPMG and after my Audit and Tax career, I progressed to running my own commercial print business - which is now in its 21st year.

I realised my ambition of property investing in 2018 by project managing my first HMO conversion – from sourcing, refurbishing, tenanting to managing the property. Since then I have grown my portfolio with a mix of professional tenants in shared houses, housing association tenants providing supported accommodation and of course family homes for the private rental sector.

I am creating an intergenerational investment company that my children can be part of in the future. My values are centred around collaboration based on trust and reliability. I am people centric and like to be well informed, investing in my education.

I grew up around family businesses and I am passionate about SMEs and business owners making the most of their enterprises. I served as President of my BNI Chapter for two years and I host the Birmingham meeting of Partners in Property. Networking keeps me in touch with business owners and their challenges and allows me to help them realise their ambitions.

Birmingham born and bred, I have worked in and been around the Birmingham business community for over 30 years. I understand the local market and am excited about the future of property investment in Birmingham.
